There are many advantages to the use of Lateral-Flow Rapid Test formats. The test can be used in the field, or “point of care”, as well as in a laboratory or professional setting. Lateral Flow tests are easy to use, producing a clear and easily interpreted result in a minimal amount of time. A wide variety of sample types (eg, saliva, urine, whole blood, food extract) can be utilized, and only a small volume is required to process the test. Multiplexing and Quantitation technologies are also available.
